GoRaleigh bus reserves special seat for Rosa Parks
A sign picturing Rosa Parks sitting in front of the bus, looking out the window held an honorary seat in her honor.
Posted — Updated"Reserved in honor of Rosa Parks," the sign read.
"By not giving up her seat, she helped ensure a seat for everyone. Rosa Parks' actions served as a catalyst for the Civil Rights Movement and affirmed that everyone has the equal right to public transportation," the sign read.
"We honor her actions and her bravery."
Bill King snapped a photo of the sign to share on Twitter, writing, "Saw this tribute to Rosa Parks today from GoRaleigh on my bus commute today. Well done."
GoRaleigh made a post about their project on Tuesday morning, saying they were celebrating what would have been Parks' 107th birthday.
